Booking events and permits
If you wish to hold an event or activity in a park or open space, you need to apply for permission to do so.
Land belonging to Sedgemoor District Council can be hired depending on our approval, and the provision or purchase of £5 million public liability insurance, and the submission of relevant risk assessments and/or Event Safety Management Plans'
Prominent sites include Apex Park, Manor Gardens and Marine Cove in Burnham On Sea and Blake Gardens, Eastover Park (Cranleigh Gardens), Victoria Park and St Matthews Field in Bridgwater.
- Booking fee per park event £30.00
There will be no charge made when a public open space is hired for activities such as wedding photos, carol singing, children's activities etc, provided the conditions of hire are met.
Football will be given priority in parks where there are pitches, during the football season.

The Council reserve the right to refuse the booking of an event if submission of a booking form or subsequent event safety documentation is not within the timescales stated above.
Personal Trainers can hire Council land for sessions, providing they have public liability insurance and submit relevant risk assessments
