Recent applications - Licensing Act 2003

Anyone can comment on a licensing application. There is no definition of "other person", however the representations must be relevant to the application and relate to one or more of these four licensing objectives:-

1. The prevention of crime and disorder
2. Public safety
3. The prevention of Public nuisance
4. The protection of children from harm

Applications for a new Premises Licence:

The Cliff, The Bays, Cheddar, Somerset BS27 3QE

An application has been received from Mr. Baftjar Zhuzhi, for a new Premises licence for: The Cliff, The Bays, Cheddar, Somerset BS27 3QE. The applicant is seeking to provide: Sale/ supply of alcohol:- Midday to 23.00 hrs. daily for consumption on the premises only. Recent applications for new, or variations to, Gambling Premises Licences

Recent applications for new, or variations to, Premises Licences under the Gambling Act 2005 are shown below:

Interested Parties may make representations in respect of these applications, by the dates shown. An 'Interested Party' is a person or business in the immediate vicinity of the premises subject to the application, who would be directly affected by licensable activities on the premises.

Representation can only be accepted where they are relevant to one or more of the three licensing objectives

  • Preventing gambling from being a source of crime and disorder, being associated with crime and disorder, or being used to support crime;
  • Ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way (generally addressed by the Gambling Commission); and
  • Protecting children and other vulnerable persons from being harmed or exploited by gambling

Applications for a new Gambling Premises Licence:

None at present.

 

Applications for a variation to a Gambling Premises Licence:

None at present.


The full application(s) can be viewed at Sedgemoor District Council Offices, Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater TA6 3AR between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and between 9:00am and 4:30pm on Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
