This page contains summary details of all recent applications made to the licensing authority under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005, for new Premises Licences, or variations or reviews of existing licences.

Recent applications - Licensing Act 2003

Anyone can comment on a licensing application. There is no definition of "other person", however the representations must be relevant to the application and relate to one or more of these four licensing objectives:-

1. The prevention of crime and disorder
2. Public safety
3. The prevention of Public nuisance
4. The protection of children from harm

Applications for a new Premises Licence:

Applications for a Full variation to a Premises Licence:

Remedies, 62 High Street, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 3BN

Application has been received from Greendale Leisure Ltd for a Full Variation to the Premises licence for Remedies, 62 High Street, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 3BN. The applicant is seeking to revert the lay out of the premises (with a few small seating changes) that was in place previously before the licence was varied in 2015. This is because the proposed work in the previous variation never took place. The applicant is also seeking to remove Condition No5 an Inaudibility condition and replace it with a new noise condition. Recent applications for new, or variations to, Gambling Premises Licences

Recent applications for new, or variations to, Premises Licences under the Gambling Act 2005 are shown below:

Interested Parties may make representations in respect of these applications, by the dates shown. An 'Interested Party' is a person or business in the immediate vicinity of the premises subject to the application, who would be directly affected by licensable activities on the premises.

Representation can only be accepted where they are relevant to one or more of the three licensing objectives

  • Preventing gambling from being a source of crime and disorder, being associated with crime and disorder, or being used to support crime;
  • Ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way (generally addressed by the Gambling Commission); and
  • Protecting children and other vulnerable persons from being harmed or exploited by gambling
