Sedgemoor Community Health Fund 2018

The Housing, Health and Wellbeing group within Sedgemoor District Council has funding to support communities to deliver health and wellbeing projects. We are inviting communities to bid for funds through the Community Health Fund to help improve the health of our residents.

The Sedgemoor Health Profile (2017/18) shows that the public health priorities in Sedgemoor are to build healthy communities and prevent ill health. Improving the health of children and young people, health behaviours in mid-life, ageing well and reducing rates of loneliness have all been identified as significant within this report. Obesity in both children and adults as well as rates of diabetes and hip fractures also remain significantly worse than the England average.

The Housing, Health and Wellbeing group within Sedgemoor District Council has funding to support communities to deliver health and wellbeing projects and welcomes applications focusing on one or more of these priorities.
