Blake Gardens is in a prime location in Bridgwater Town Centre and is a good surviving example of a simple municipal garden from the late Victorian/ Edwardian period.
Blake Gardens is an amenity for the local community and visitors alike near to Bridgwater Library and Blake Museum. The gardens feature a bandstand, seating, large areas of open space and formal bed planting. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
The Public Gardens were opened on 9th August 1902 as part of the town's coronation celebrations.
Stamping out anti-social behaviour in and around Bridgwater's Blake Gardens continues to be a priority for Avon and Somerset Police, Bridgwater Town Council and Sedgemoor District Council. If you witness anti-social behaviour, please contact the anti-social behaviour hotline 0800 298 2009 or email email@example.com.
