Sedgemoor District Council takes all forms of Fraudulent or corrupt behaviour, whether internal or external, very seriously.
This is supported through the provision of an Anti-fraud and Corruption Strategy, an on site team of specialist Benefit Fraud Investigators and the Internal Audit section who work to ensure fairness.
The Council has recently introduced new Protocols on the receipt of gifts and hospitality by employees and Members of Sedgemoor District Council. Copies of both Protocols are available at the bottom of this page. The Standards Committee is responsible for overseeing these Protocols and will receive reports from the Council's Monitoring Officer every six months.
