Connecting Devon & Somerset

Connecting Devon and Somerset are aiming to bring superfast broadband to 90% of premises within Somerset and Devon. This means that most residents and businesses in Devon and Somerset will have broadband speeds of over 24Mbps by the end of 2016.

To find out if your business is included in the programme and when you can expect to have access to superfast broadband use the Postcode checker. Once you have access to superfast broadband you will need to contact your Internet Service Provider (BT, Sky, TalkTalk, etc) to purchase a new superfast broadband package. For more information on the programme roll out in Sedgemoor visit the District page.

As part of the programme Connecting Devon and Somerset are working with a number of local organisations to help you harness the full benefits of this technology, a series of events and workshops are available. Superfast Business can provide tailored advice on all things digital, helping you exploit the opportunities of superfast broadband and associated technologies to grow your business. Register for free on the Superfast Business website to access their knowledge hub covering all the latest technology.

Over 100,000 homes and businesses now have access to fibre broadband through the Connecting Devon & Somerset programme. A further £45m has now been committed to the project; meaning close to £140m will be invested on bringing Devon and Somerset 95% coverage by the end of 2017.
