Last few places at Business Conference


Places are filling up for the free event run by Sedgemoor District Council, which this year will have 'Made in Somerset' as a theme and will have speakers who can give the wider perspective as well as the picture in Bridgwater and surrounding area. 13/11/17

All businesses are invited to a conference at Bridgwater's McMillan Theatre on December 1 that will give them an opportunity to learn more about trading conditions at national, regional and local level.

Bridgwater MP Ian Liddell-Grainger will have the latest on how the build up to leaving the EU is affecting trade and he will touch on Nuclear New Build and Decommissioning and the importance of existing economic sectors in the District.

Among the other speakers are Humphrey Cadoux-Hudson who will talk about the legacy his company EDF Energy Nuclear New Build expects Sedgemoor to see from the construction of Hinkley Point C and Bob Montgomery of Longleat Enterprises who will share his experiences of re-positioning a brand to improve performance. There will be presentations from Sedgemoor District Council as well as successful producers, manufacturers and business leaders.

A spokesperson for Sedgemoor District Council said: 'This is our ninth annual business conference and we are always pleased with the feedback we receive from delegates who find not only the content useful but also the opportunity to meet other business people invaluable."
