Health Grants

Applications are now open for Sedgemoor District Council's Community Health Fund, which has monies available to spend on health-focussed projects across the district. Community groups, registered charities, leisure centres, housing providers, activity clubs, children's centres and workplaces amongst others are all being encouraged to come up with their own project ideas based on local health and wellbeing needs and then bid for up to £1,000 to support their project. 10/10/17

Northgate, Bridgwater

Sedgemoor District Council and Somerset County Council have for some time been working together on the Northgate site at Bridgwater. The first phase of the project has delivered Northgate Primary School which opened its doors for the new autumn term in September. The two Councils have also agreed a conditional contract with a third-party retailer on the former Enterprise Centre area, adjacent to the new school, and it is anticipated that a planning application will be submitted in early 2018 for that part of the site. 10/10/17

Have you completed your voter registration form?

All households across Sedgemoor will have received an annual voter registration form within the past month. Although there has been a good response rate, many people have not yet confirmed their details, despite it being a legal requirement for SDC to collect the information. 03/10/17
