The seven mile stretch of sandy beaches is ideal for walking and beach activities. Burnham-on-Sea is a traditional seaside resort, great for families, with a wide, level Esplanade. The Resort is also popular with sea anglers, who can fish three hours either side of high tide. We have also recently been awarded the Quality beach award.
Our lifeguards patrol a stretch of beach at Burnham-on-Sea providing supervised bathing from June through to September. We also have quality water-based launching facilities and a marina.

Never enter the water, or attempt to enter the water, at low tide - the sinking mud is extremely dangerous!
Do not swim near the watercraft launching area at Burnham-on-Sea beach.
Do not swim when the red flags are flying.
