Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)

Sedgemoor's Community Infrastructure Levy will be adopted on 01 April 2015 and will change the way we collect financial contributions from new development. If you will be submitting a planning application or prior approval application from December 2014, you should find out how this might affect your development by visiting the link above.

  • Building Control

Building Control is a statutory service, which looks after the built environment. We carry out a health and safety function, in that we ensure building works carried out are structurally sound, moisture resistant, adequately insulated. We cover works as diverse as the installation of a boiler or removal of chimney breast to the erection of multi million pound projects. We are also charged with investigating, and if necessary making safe existing structures that are an immediate danger to the public.

  • RLT 2 and 3 funds for Play and Outdoor sport

Sedgemoor District Council is responsible for the development of parks and open spaces in the district, which includes children's play-areas and sports pitches. This page includes information and application forms for funds available for Children's Play (RLT2) and Outdoor Sport (RLT3).
