Introducing Sedgemoor District Council's new Corporate Strategy
Now more than ever, people are turning to their local authority for support and Sedgemoor District Council is working hard to ensure we deliver value for money for our residents.
There are further substantial reductions in our funding from central Government, which has been challenging for us as a Council, but has given us the opportunity to refocus on the important issues for local people and businesses.
Sedgemoor District Council's priority themes are:
Customers & Efficiency
Growth & Infrastructure
Housing, Health & Wellbeing
For many years the Council has been developing its approach to performance and risk management and refining the structure of its Corporate Strategy, with a view to ensuring the Council continues to deliver for its customers, in a challenging financial climate.
As well as developing our internal approach, it is also essential that what we project externally to communities gives confidence that the Council is aware of the issues and challenges communities face and that we are working hard to play our part in tackling those issues.
Therefore, the Council has departed from the traditional lengthy document format of previous Corporate Strategies and instead aimed to design a simple, single page format. We hope that this new format is more interesting and accessible.
