Start of site for Regional Rural Business Centre

Councillor Duncan McGinty, Leader of Sedgemoor District Council, and representatives of Robert Wiseman Dairies and Mead Realisations cut the first "turf" to mark the start of construction of Wiseman's new regional dairy for the south west and the Regional Rural Business Centre incorporating a new livestock market.

The new state-of-the-art dairy valued at £55 million will be operational during the late autumn of 2007 and is sited at the centre of dairy production in the south west. The plant will boost the local economy and employ over 550 people.
