The River Parrett experiences a small tidal wave, known as a Bore, which passes through Bridgwater. Details of dates and times are available here.
The bore usually occurs around 1 hour 40 minutes before High Water, but it may pass earlier or later depending on meteorological conditions. The height of the wave is also dependent on meteorological conditions. It can be seen from various bridges that cross the River Parrett. Dates and times when it is most likely to be seen are within the relevant documents below.
Please note: Only the current year will be available for viewing. Next year's Bore times will be available on 'New Years Day', and the precious year will be removed automatically.
