State of the art facilities including junior and toddler play equipment, an outdoor gym and dog agility 'Bark Park' can be found at the refurbished Coronation Park on Sydenham in Bridgwater.
A park enhancement project, costing £230,000 was completed in December 2015.
The play facilities feature separate toddler and junior play zones. The toddler play zone includes a double-width slide, 3m mound tunnel, basket swing, seesaw, dish roundabout, two springers, traditional swings as well as an innovative 'sneak and peak' multi-play unit with ten play and climbing elements. The junior play zone includes a 25m zip wire, a 'mission phantom' multi-play unit featuring twelve play and climbing elements, a sling shot swing as well as a slide, another swing and trampoline.
The park also has a 15m by 10m basketball hoop and hard standing alongside a football area with two goal posts.
Both play zones, as well as other areas in the park, benefit from new seating, bins, refurbished gates and fencing.
The dog walking area, known as the 'Bark Park' includes new seating and gates as well as new dog waste bins and a dog agility area with five items of equipment including an up and over and crawl tunnel.
The new outdoor gym features nine different exercise stations including monkey bars, cross trainer, ski machine, spinning bike and hand bike.
Coronation Park operates a voluntary smoking ban.
