Bridgwater Carnival 2019

The Carnival procession will start at 7:00pm on Saturday 2nd November. More details about our 2019 carnivals will be available nearer the time.

Day time entertainment programme (to be confirmed)

Street entertainment will be taking place in the High Street, on Cornhill and in Angel Place throughout the day, starting at 10:00am. There will also be food stalls, souvenirs and programmes available. The programme of events is below.  

The Procession: (to be confirmed)

The Bridgwater Carnival procession commences at 7:00pm from Parkway, continuing along Bath Road, Monmouth Street, Broadway, Taunton Road, St Mary Street, Cornhill, High Street, Mount Street and finishing at the junction with Castle Moat.

Park and Ride: (to be confirmed)

There will be four Park & Ride schemes running.

Junction 24, Market Way, Bridgwater (just off J24 of the M5). Blue route, operating from 2:00pm until midnight

Bridgwater Car Auctions, Bristol Road, Bridgwater (just off J23 of the M5). Green route, operating 2:00pm to midnight

Morrisons Manufacturing, Bristol Road, Bridgwater (just off J23 of the M5). Red route, operating 11:00am to midnight

EDF Hinkley C Dunball, Bristol Road, Bridgwater (just off J23 of the M5). Yellow route, operating 2:00pm to midnight

The cost for each park and ride will be £5 per car plus £1 for adults travelling on the bus service. Buses will be running from the site entrance to the town centre, returning after the procession by picking you up from the same position you were dropped off at. The first bus will leave once it is full, the buses will run a regular service both ways until the last bus leaves the pick up point at 11:30pm.

There is plenty of car parking in Bridgwater for the carnival. Car parks are situated at:

  • Angel Place Shopping Centre
  • ASDA
  • Bridgwater Retail Park
  • Morrison's
  • B & M (provisionally)
  • Market Street
  • Barclay Street

For disabled access parking has been provided by the Bridgwater Carnival ( Bridgwater Carnival - Parking) on Mount Street for blue badge holders.
