The Somerset West Private Sector Renewal Policy 2013 - 2015

The Regulatory Reform (Housing Assistance) (England and Wales) Order 2002 contains a general power for local authorities to provide assistance for housing renewal. Sedgemoor District Council's Policy, working in partnership with West Somerset Council and Taunton Deane Borough Council as the Somerset West Private Sector Housing Partnership, is available below.

The Housing Strategy has identified 4 key priorities for the Council . These are:

  • Meeting the housing needs and aspirations of local communities
  • Improving the quality of housing across the District
  • Increasing housing supply in Sedgemoor
  • Addressing the needs of homeless or potentially homeless people across the District by increasing housing options

The full version of Sedgemoor's Housing Strategy is available below. The Strategy document is also available in Braille, and other languages, on request. If you have any comments or require any further information please contact the Strategic Housing Manager.
