Christmas and New Year in Sedgemoor

Sedgemoor District Council will remain open for business as usual during the holiday period on all days except bank holidays.

Rubbish and recycling collections will be two days later from Monday 25th to Friday 29th December, and one day later between Monday 1st to Friday 5th January. Wedmore Neighbourhood Plan: Designation of Neighbourhood Area


Sedgemoor District Council has approved the designation of the parish of Wedmore as a Neighbourhood Area, in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.

The area to which the designation relates is the whole of the parish of Wedmore, as identified in the map available as a PDF download below. The letter of application from Wedmore Parish Council can also be downloaded below. No comments regarding the designation of area were received on this application from members of the public during a six week consultation period.

This designation sets out the area which the Wedmore Neighbourhood Plan will cover, no other neighbourhood plans being permitted in that area.

Wedmore Neighbourhood Plan: Call for Sites

Wedmore Parish are asking developers, land owners and other interested parties to let them know about any sites that may be suitable for development. These sites will then be assessed as part of the Neighbourhood Planning process.

The Parish are welcoming site submissions until 28th April 2017. If you have a site within the Parish of Wedmore that you would like to be considered for possible allocation, please complete the 'Call for Sites' form that can be found at Wedmore Online and return to wedmoreparishcouncil@gmail.com.
