1 . The proposed two storey extension by virtue of its size and design, is not visually or physically subordinate to, and compromises the character of, the existing dwelling. The two storey extension also harms the residential amenity of a nearby dwelling by reason of overlooking. The proposed garage, given it's prominent location will be visually intrusive upon the street scene. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policy BE2 of the Sedgemoor District Local Plan (saved policies).
