Affordable Housing options

Sedgemoor District Council is the largest provider of affordable housing in Somerset with approximately 4,000 homes. There are also numerous Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) providing affordable housing across Sedgemoor.

In addition, to Sedgemoor District Council and our RSL (Registered Social Landlord) partners, affordable housing is also provided by both private landlords (discounted market rented) and large house builders (low cost market housing).

If you are interested in any of these options, you should first register with  Homefinder Somerset.

Help to Buy South West

If you are specifically interested in receiving help to buy a home, you should also register with Help to Buy South West  who hold a register of households requesting this particular form of housing. Help to Buy South West hold details of all vacancies throughout the district. They will help assess what you can afford and will send you details of any suitable vacancies that arise in the future. Registration can be done online at: helptobuysw.org.uk or telephone their Customer Services department on the telephone listed on their website.
