Food Allergen Information for Businesses


As from 13 December 2014, all food business will need to provide information about ingredients which may cause allergies in the food they serve.

Ingredients may have hidden allergens in them, such as stock cubes containing celery, bread rolls with sesame seed oil, etc.

The Food Standards Agency has produced a short e-learning training programme, aimed to update businesses on where allergens can be found and what labelling is required.  


The Food Standards Agency has produced various guidance documents to assist with the new requirements on labelling.
