Five Year Housing Land Supply 2017 to 2022

The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) requires all Local Authorities to identify and maintain a five year supply of deliverable land for housing. This report is published annually by Sedgemoor.

The report draws upon information from the most up to date housing monitoring, the Strategic Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) and deliverability information as of December 2016.

Key Findings of the 2017-2022 report

  • A supply of deliverable sites in excess of the five year Core Strategy requirement can be demonstrated for Sedgemoor
  • Against emerging Local Plan requirements there is currently a small shortfall, although actual delivery from allocated sites in the emerging Local Plan is likely to be higher as the plan progresses through to adoption
  • Sedgemoor has continued strong build rates on key strategic sites, and continues to consent for additional strategic sites.

The full report can be downloaded below.
